The AU CivicNetwork, housed under the Task Force’s Mission to the National Capital Region and AU, serves as an experimental pilot program to foster democratic engagement at American University. Its primary role is to gather essential polling data and anecdotal evidence to support and guide pro-democracy initiatives on campus. By facilitating the collection of signatures for pro-democracy candidates and referendum campaigns, CivicNetwork actively contributes to the democratic process at AU.
