Eduardo first learned to appreciate the importance of representation, diplomacy, and democracy through Model United Nations. Recognizing the critical—yet hard-to-find—qualities of an honest, confident, and knowledgeable leader, Eduardo wants to be the change he wants to see in the world by fighting for democracy as a leader. Eduardo takes a Tocquevillian approach by connecting with the voters that make our nation’s government great. Seeing no better opportunity to fight for democracy, Eduardo joined the Task Force Organization.

Being involved in the political scene since high school, Eduardo is dedicated to bettering his community. Whether running a food drive where he grew up or canvassing and getting out the vote, he has striven to better his community. Eduardo understands better than anyone else the importance of a firmly united community in a healthy democracy.

With recent times being an incredibly trying era for our nation’s democracy, Eduardo realizes that now is the time to fight. Even when it may seem like an uphill battle, Eduardo thinks back to the words of Former President John F. Kennedy at a time when the nation faced a new and uncertain frontier. “We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.”

Eduardo lives in Washington, D.C., where he studies Political Science at American University.
