Our origins, rooted in the pursuit of student representation, have evolved into a powerful mission to defend democracy. Read our story!
We’re on a path to help coordinate young America’s response to authoritarian threats. Our initiatives are steps towards a brighter, more democratic future, where individuals are empowered to be their own best advocates. Check out our initiatives to view what we’re currently working on!
Our leaders are volunteers who envision and work towards our goal of increased representation for students and the public. Our Divisions work towards planning our initiatives and our Senior Cabinet transforms our objectives into action.
The Task Force has three fundamental functions: researching democracy-related issues, public advocacy, and establishing strategic alliances with other pro-democracy organizations (to optimize resources in pursuit of common objectives).
The Task Force works to meet its goals with its Acceptance, Commitment and Transparency (ACT) Policy. To find out more about our ACT Policy, click on the tabs.
The Task Force believes that in order to allow for proper representation to take place, we must remove divisive barriers that stall cooperation. Hence, the Task Force works hard to foster and promote an environment of acceptance for all individuals, despite their personal or political differences.
Only through cooperation can we meet our shared goals and the Task Force takes that to heart by implementing ridged anti-discrimination policies, anti-partisanship practices and by sponsoring initiatives that allow us to grow as humans and create a better, more compassionate environment for future generations.
The Task Force places high value on the initiatives it pursues and its members work tirelessly to realize our objectives, therefore, the Task Force believes that working to follow through with our initiatives and maintaining our commitments is critical to reaching our goals and building trust within the communities we serve.
The Task Force works to meet its commitments by working hard, and persevering when an initiative seems to have failed. We will not give up and we will fight the hard fight, because nothing is more important than protecting the voice of the people we represent.
One of the reasons The Task Force was founded, was to address the lack of transparency within government, that is why the Task Force believes that it is essential to set an example and start by taking active measures to ensure transparency within its own organisation.
The Task Force pledges to publicise all policies, initiatives, budget records, decisions and any other information pertaining to the Task Force. The public has a right to know what its governments are doing and we would like to prove our commitment to working towards improving government transparency by starting at home and making sure that the Task Force is honest and open with its information.
